       "I may not know where I came from...But I'm figuring out who I am...and what I want to become..."



     Jack-e was orphaned from a young age, though she was never alone. With the help of some unusual caretakers, Fae creatures that didn’t know how they were able to cross into the world that was similar to their own, just that it had something to do with the girl that they had started taking care of. For years they came and went, creating a small oasis for the girl to live and grow. Though they eventually found out that she was Fae touched and that was why they were able to pass through, albeit only for a short time, they realized that they wouldn’t be able continue taking care of the precious being.    When Jack-e turned ten they led her out of the small, safe oasis they had created and she wandered the Thanalan desert, the heat eventually causing her to pass out on the side of the road leading to Ul’dah. The fae tried to help her, but they couldn’t do much as her aether was low and that was what sustained them. She was eventually found by a man named Rhys leader of The Midnight Lantern merchant group. He took the girl to Ul’dah, nursing her back to health. When he learned that she didn’t have parents, he gave her two options, go to the local orphanage or travel with him. The girl chose the latter, not really understanding when was going on, just that she didn’t want to be alone.     From that day onward Jack-e became Rhys’ daughter and he taught the girl what he could. What he couldn’t the other members of the merchant group filled in. It was with this large family of thirty people that she learned to cook, fight and live the life of a merchant. It was no secret within the group that she was able to summon Fae like beings and talk to them and let them wander about for hours on end. Or that she was able to use powers similar to them, causing wondrous illusions that she used to entertain while they were on the road. However, the group was quiet about her skills to anyone outside, not wanting her to draw unwanted attention, partly to keep themselves out of trouble, and partly, mostly because Jack-e asked everyone to keep it quiet.     While the group was making a small, unexpected travel to Garlemald they met up with refugees. It was their job to bring them to Ul’dah, or they would take them in to help them find a place to settle down, or simply to work with the Midnight Lantern. Things weren’t perfect bringing refugees over to Ul’dah, but they made it without losing anyone. The merchant group parted ways with most of the refugees, even though there wasn’t a place for them to go.     Jack-e soon talked to Rhys about doing something more to help them, anyone really. While Rhys agreed with her, he was a traveling merchant, and while he had an extensive network he wasn’t sure what would be the most helpful for any refugees. Jack-e brought up the idea of a safe house. A place where refugees could stay and acclimate to a new life. Rhys thought about it and agreed to it. Though he couldn’t give up his life to start over. Jack-e said that she would do it. She knew that the Midnight lantern would always be her family, but she needed to branch out on her own. Rhys agreed, knowing that the day would come where the girl would want to strike out on her own and find what she wanted to do with her life. He knew that she was meant for more than a simple travelers life. The group had a three day send off party for the girl, saying their goodbyes and promising to meet up when they could.     On her own, Jack-e took up being a freelance adventurer, and eventually she landed a job as a bartender in the Geisha House. While it was slow starting, she managed to secure a house in the Goblet as a place for refugees, and anyone who needs a place to escape reality for a little while.

                 Personality:     If trouble is something you want to get into Jack-e is your one stop shop for that. She doesn't seek out trouble...it finds her, honest, she's just out trying to have a fun time. She likes to party, whether with a large group of people or a small gathering of close friends its one of the activities that she enjoys most due to her upbringing. Traveling to different regions and meeting groups of people she learned that the best way to meet people and bring up spirits was to celebrate. When her curiosity is peaked or she ahs no other jobs lined up for a bit she'll wander around and explore rumors that she's heard, even if the treasure is fake, just so she can satisfy her curiosity.     Jack-e is kind, caring and loyal. Any friend that she has made she will help out in a heart beat in anyway she can...even if it causes her to fall into trouble. She loves playing flirting, enjoying the fun teasing and occasional seduction depending on the person. Though she doesn't plan for it to go any further than words, as it's all just for fun. It's just part of her bubbly charm-which sometimes can be confused with her being spacey...or insane- and sometimes she misses when people make a jab at her.     Although it takes a lot to piss her off, when she's mad you'll know. She doesn't like to let people get to her, but sometimes it can't be helped. She doesn't get angry over what people say about her, but if her friends are insulted she won't hesitate to throw a witty comeback or insult back...if she doesn't think throwing a punch is worth it. She is also an aggressive business woman, haggling with vendors and well, anyone she can when its appropriate has become second nature.     Jack-e also loves to pull pranks. She doesn't set up anything that would intentionally harm someone. She likes to have a good time and make people laugh. She loves to cause chaos, especially in awkward and stressful situations, plus sometimes a stupid prank can be a great way to throw off an enemy. She doesn't show her vulnerable side, she doesn't like to show it often, so if show it's either due to a build up of too much pretending or she is comfortable with whoever she is with.

     Family: Even though she has no biological relatives she considers Rhys her father. She could meet people who are Rhys biological children, because the man travels, of course he's going to have some flings over the years. Though all of them would be of age at least, seeing as once Jack-e was in his life he toned it down. But there could be a couple that are younger than Jack-e. She would also have plenty of friends that she would consider family, people that she traveled with over the years and became close with. Since she doesn't have a biological family she has accumulated people to be her found family.     Midnight Lantern: Even though she doesn't travel with them anymore, she was one of the people who made business deals and the likes with many companies around Etheirys so it wouldn't be surprising to run into one of those people, or even have her barter goods and the likes to help out...or hinder. She could even run into members of Midnight Lantern who have either left the company completely, or just have taken a break, or she's run into them while the company and her are in the same location, it wouldn't be too surprising. Or maybe someone thinks they got a bad deal from the company and recognizes her and decides to take it out on her.     Fae Background: Summoning the Fae's from the first and having some of their powers isn't something you see everyday. This would be something that could be shocking to see. She isn't one to flaunt her skills if she can help it, but if someone catches her well, she won't deny it. She will down play it though, thinking that her skill is fairly mundane.     Culinary skills: She loves to cook and bake! She thinks that sharing food is one of the best ways to bond with people and bring them together. She would most likely entertain people at her own home so that she can cook and bake with ease, though she does know how to cook with a campfire. She can even get a little competitive with it, more of a friendly competition than anything because she feels that food should be something that people come together for, not get torn apart.     Relationships: Well she needs plenty and while she is flirty she isn't someone to go home with anyone and everyone. She will have more platonic relationships than romantic, only have a couple of romantic ones. She isn't opposed to romantic intentions, she just has been too busy to have them. She would have people who don't like her, because who doesn't and she will hopefully have more who like her, and being around her.     Pranks: She loves pulling pranks and causing mischief. Not surprising given who she spent her childhood with and what they are like. She knows where to draw the line, though she can get into some trouble. It wouldn't be surprising if some people didn't like her because she pulled a prank on them and they didn't like it. Humiliation can be a strong emotion.

     RP: So I would prefer rp partners that are 18+, as IRL I'm in my 30's. I'm sorry but I also won't play anything romantic/intimate with Lalas. I don't mind rping as friends of course.     SFW/NSFW: For right now I am SFW, I do skirt very close, so talk to me about how far I'm willing to go, I usually do fade to blacks/implied. I may one day do NSFW but being new to the RP side of FF14 I don't want to throw myself into it.     RP times: So I work 1-10 pm EST having Thursdays and Fridays off. So I'm free after 10 pm on the other nights. I can pretty much RP in game any time on Thursdays and Fridays. I don't mind rping through discord.     RP style: I like descriptive text, I can do multi-paragraphs. But I will match anyone's writing style. I prefer 3rd person, but again I'll match to first person if that is what you like.     OOC=/=IC: So if our characters have an intimate relationship/date, that does not mean it applies to IRL. What happens in IC stays in IC.     Fae-touched power: So while she does have powers of the Fae, she doesn't use them all the time. When she pulls some pranks, when she wants to lift someone's spirit, so it's not like she abuses it. It's more of a way to get descriptive and imaginative on my end. So it's not like every interaction-if any- will have her using this skill.     Background: While it isn't written in her history I do know where she came from and why she was found alone. Eventually I do want her to find out, I'm just not sure how I want her to find out.   (More to come I know I'm forgetting something)
